Shot in Isolation

Shot in Isolation is a series made over seven weeks during the first UK lockdown, between April and May 2020.

Each evening I made a new photograph at my kitchen table using flowers collected from my garden and allotment.
The repeated act of gathering, arranging and photographing became a way of marking time during a period when the usual structures of everyday life had disappeared.

Across the series, the flowers move through different stages of growth and decay, becoming a quiet record of passing time, isolation and mortality.
